The Circulatory System


Blood Vessels
Ø     Veins transport
blood from the organs to the heart.
Ø                 Arteries transport
Ø     blood from the heart to the organs.
Ø      Capillaries connect arteries and veins

The Heart
ü      It’s a hollow organ made of muscle.
ü      The upper part is called artrium.
ü      The lower part is called ventricle.
ü      The ventricle and the artrium is connected by a valve.

Blood
                  Plasma is dissolved with water and residues
§      There are 3 types of blood cells:
·      Red blood cells:
transport oxygen and carbon dioxide.
·      White blood  cells: defend us from infections.
·      Platalets:
block our wonds so we don’t lose lot of blood.

The Function of blood
o     Transport oxygen and carbon dioxide.
o     Defend our body from infections.
